今敏（1963-2010） 动画导演、漫画家。1984年，在就读武藏野美术大学时完成漫画处女作《虏》，1985年完成《雕刻》，获千叶彻弥漫画新人奖。1990年开始连载首部长篇漫画《海归线》。同年作为美术设计参加大友克洋监督的动画电影《老人Z》，踏上动画创作之路。 1997年完成动画处女作《未麻的部屋》，受邀参加柏林影展，并在亚洲奇幻电影节上获奖。接着陆续完成动画《千年女优》《东京教父》《妄想代理人》《红辣椒》。《千年女优》入围奥斯卡动画长片奖，与《千与千寻》同获日本文化厅媒体艺术节动画奖，名列世界五十大动画。
